Life Coaching Courses

Professional, ethical life coaching training which is grounded, reflective and future-focused

Life coaching can be a powerful way of supporting people to move forward when it is practised ethically, responsibly and with a clear professional framework.

At Three Pillars Training, our life coaching pathway is designed for people who want to help others create change without stepping into counselling work. Coaching here is about clarity, choice, accountability and growth, supported by strong boundaries and professional standards.

This pathway is suitable for those seeking personal and professional development, as well as those working towards becoming a qualified life coach.

Courses approved by:

“Sharon is extremely knowledgeable in her field and this is evident from being part of two courses she has delivered. I wouldn’t want to have anyone else deliver a course to me. Sharon made it engaging, fun, and proactive.”

A Clear, Supported Route into Life Coaching

Our life coaching courses follow a clear, progressive pathway, allowing skills, confidence and professional understanding to develop steadily over time. Each level builds on the last, supporting informed progression while allowing you to integrate learning properly before moving forward.

Whether your aim is personal growth, enhanced employability or professional coaching practice, the pathway offers clarity, structure and credibility at every stage.

Level 4 Diploma in Life Coaching

Level 4 develops practitioner-level coaching skills, theory, models, client work, professional identity and readiness for practice. This is a Tailor-Made Qualification (TMQ) by Three Pillars Training to enable the full course to be completed online as well as in person.

Training That Respects the Person You Already Are

Many of our life coaching learners are:

  • Professionals looking to enhance their people skills

  • Career-changers seeking flexible, meaningful work

  • Individuals drawn to coaching after their own growth or development journey

  • People who want to support others without working therapeutically

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.

You bring curiosity, motivation and openness to learning and we support the rest with our strong pillars of support. This includes clear guidance, accessible learning, structured reflection and tutors who understand adult learners and real-world responsibilities.

Coaching skills develop over an amount of time that allows insight, practice and confidence to grow. Much like learning any complex skill, coaching benefits from steady development rather than shortcuts. Time spent practising, reflecting and refining skills is what builds safe, effective and credible coaches.

How Learning & Assessment Work

Learning on our life coaching pathway is practical, reflective and not exam-based.

Assessment takes place throughout the course through:

  • Engagement and contribution in live teaching sessions

  • Skills practice and observed coaching conversations

  • Reflective and written portfolio work

  • Tutor feedback and developmental guidance

  • Application of coaching models and tools in practice

You can demonstrate your development through how you coach, think and reflect, allowing real capability to emerge rather than performance for assessment alone.

Professional Standards You Can Trust

All life coaching qualifications are approved by the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).

✓ CPCAB coaching qualifications are nationally recognised and respected across coaching, education, corporate, health and support settings, providing a credible foundation for ethical coaching practice and progression.

✓ These courses are pending approval by the Association of Coaching professional body (AOC).

A Supportive Environment Shaped By Lived Experience

We understand how it feels to stand where you are now; curious, thoughtful and wanting to choose the right path.

Our tutors have been through their own professional training journeys. We understand the realities of balancing learning with work and life, building confidence gradually, and stepping into new professional identities with care.

That lived experience shapes how we teach and support; with empathy, realism and respect for individual pace and development.

Taking the Next Step

You don’t need to have everything worked out before applying.

The application process allows you to express interest and reflect on readiness. Suitability meetings then provide space to explore expectations, boundaries and next steps, ensuring the course is the right fit before enrolment.

Whether you’re seeking personal development, professional skills or a future coaching role, the pathway is here when you’re ready to step into it.

Not Sure Whether Counselling or Coaching is the Right Route for You?

Many people begin by exploring life coaching and later discover that counselling training better suits how they want to work or they choose to train in both at different stages. Our pathways are designed to complement one another, with progression explored thoughtfully and at the appropriate time.

If you’d like to understand how counselling training differs, you’ll find a clear overview on our Counselling page.
